Post nasal: The only one who can make a diagnosis of bronchitis is the one who examines you and listen to your lungs. By your account you have a postnasal drip that flows out more to your throat at night and causes more irritation and coughing. The color of the secretion usually does not mean much.

Sounds like URI: While the history sounds like a URI and your cough is likely from post-nasal drainage, it really is impossible to tell if there could be a touch of bronchitis without listening to your chest. However, without fever, i wouldn't worry too much about this. Get rest, lots of fluids, nasal saline rinse. Not to worry about "green buggers" - this is the body's way of helping fight the infection.
