Your question is ???: Sounds like you need to have the kid seen by a doc. Severe pain in the ear could be an infection of the middle ear, or the ear drum itself or both.It might also be a canal infection.Occasionally jaw joint pain can show up as ear pain. With all the possibilities only a hands on exam can sort it out.
