Any Amount: If u want to lose weight ; gain it back, any exercise will work. If u want to change ur weight permanently u need both diet and regular exercise. Exercise by whatever u think u will continue to do for months and years, every day (or almost every day.) avoid over-exercising like strains, etc. Diet: fruits, veggies, protein (fish, chicken, etc) low/no starch like bread, potatoes, rice, pasta.

For life: When weight is higher than normal, a life style change is needed. Exercise is one essential component that needs to continue to promote health. Small amounts of exercise like pretend jump roping for 10 minutes 6 times a day is easier than an hour a day and more do-able. Jump roping pretend or actual is the perfect exercise.
