A member asked:

Could braces extrude/lengthen your teeth?

Yes: If your jaws relate well but your teeth do not, braces may be able to resolve our issue. If jaws don't relate well treatment becomes more complex. Best scenario is where the orthodontic specialist provides the best platform on which your general dentist can perform his esthetic magic. Seek consultations with both.

Definitely, yes: YES, braces can extrude teeth very easily. It is done with mechanics using elastics or with archwires. For more information ask your orthodontist.
