No: Disability is a legal determination that you no longer can work (or pay taxes). You file a private claim if you bought disability insurance for your work. Your doctor can give you a diagnosis or restrictions, the rest is legal. Federal disability is rarely determined in someone your age and activity level. It is great you found a sport, Please ask your physician to treat your symptoms.
