Augmentation : Talk to your prescribing dr and see if you can be augmented with wellbutrin or Abilify (aripiprazole) to achieve full remission. Get into therapy if you are not already. Exercise, yoga, relaxation training, healthy diet, no drugs or alcohol, good sleep hygiene, prayer and meditation and the practice of your religion, building a strong social support network around you, establish life goals and work on relationships. Develop a healthy attitude and feel good about helping others.Make sure your chronic fatigue has been differentiated from chronic sleepiness. If necessary get a sleep study done. Make sure that you consult with a psychiatrist due to the complexity of your situation. Best wishes.

Expectations: Expecting escitalopram to solve all stresses is heading for disappointment. This medication's intent is to help manage the most intense symptoms of depression and anxiety, not to solve life problems. To help those, it's best to also work with a psychiatrist or psychologist who provides individual psychotherapy. That way you can explore and develop strategies for dealing with your stresses.
