Find the cause: If you have been a smoker for some time, there is no reason for your salivary flow to decrease suddenly just over the period of a day. Are you on any new medications, esp. Antihistamines which can cause dry mouth? There are artificial saliva preparations available over the counter, but you should see your doctor/dentist if this persists. Smoking cessation should be strongly considered.
