Depends: You are young, the likelihood of it being bad is low, but there are still risks. Did your doctor do an exam? What kind if exam? There are a lot of reasons for rectal bleeding, even in a young person like you. Depending on the amount if blood, personal and family history, colonoscopy is very helpful to define the source. Ask your doctor if any other tests need to be done in your case.
