A monitoring tool: Tumor marker ca 15.3 is used to monitor breast cancer with levels immediately after surgery , ; during chemotherapy with follow up levels that help to monitor the disease , and response to the treatment. It is also not specific , present in other muc i tumors. Speak to your oncologist who had more information to answer your question.
