A member asked:

Have an enlarged bump left side back of neck for 6 months. dr keeps saying not to worry that it would go away but it hsnt it now seems larger advice?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Lump: In the back of the neck could be several things. One is lipoma which unless symptomatic need not be take out except for cosmetic reason. It can slowly grow. The other is sebaceous cyst which can get infected and a lymph node which , if persistent that long, needs to be worked up. There is also a doweger's hump or simply a fat pad. Tell you doctor in concerns you. Good luck.
