Lump: In the back of the neck could be several things. One is lipoma which unless symptomatic need not be take out except for cosmetic reason. It can slowly grow. The other is sebaceous cyst which can get infected and a lymph node which , if persistent that long, needs to be worked up. There is also a doweger's hump or simply a fat pad. Tell you doctor in concerns you. Good luck.
