Dosing : Dosing in a healthy adult without liver or kidney impairment is 325-650 mg every 4 hours not to exceed 1 gram per 4 hours and 4 gm i'm 24 hours. There is no contraindication that i know of with Asacol (mesalamine) but best to check with your gastroenterologist.

Don't push your luck: Acetaminophen is disposed of by the liver & taking too much or too often can overwhelm its ability to process it & cause liver damage. Any time you shorten the recommended interval or increase the dose you take chances. Every 4 hours is a recommendation based on research & safety data. If you are not finding relief at recommended dose/interval it is time to talk to your doc about other treatment
