A member asked:

My partner is diabetic typ 2 he had some blood taken and the doc said it was to high and he needed to stop drink but he doesn't drink he's at doc on m?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Diabetes: "it was high" is not very specific, but doc said to stop drink. Do you mean alcohol? Is your doc saying that his liver enzymes are high? If so, then this may require further investigation. If the liver enzymes are high, this could mean viral or other forms of hepatitis or fatty liver, which is common in diabetics, and can range from benign to serious.
