Life-threatening: due to effects on electrolytes (sodium). If it isn't low, or inappropriate amounts in urine (sodium pee'd out, when it should be held in) then it isn't diabetes insipidus. Vitamin B12 deficiency is from zero in the diet (strict vegan diet), or from malabsorption. If meat in diet, then there is zero reason to take b12 by pill--doesn't get in, then pill won't help.
