Differential diag.: A differential diagnosis is compiling all of the signs and symtoms of a disease that the patient presents with and arriving at the possibilites of what may be their illness. Each possible diagnosis is either ruled in or ruled out based on findings upon physical exam, laboratory tests, xrays, ct scans, mri, etc.
