Nonspecific : On FDG pet/ct, hypermetabolic means that there is increased glucose uptake. Increased glucose uptake can be seen in infection, inflammation, or tumor. Suv is a measure of the amount of glucose uptake. Suv of 3.5 is elevated but again, it could be any of the possibilities listed above. How big is the lymph node? Where is it located? Has it been growing? All of these questions are important.
