Not herpes or HIV: For sure there was no risk of herpes from this event, and exceedingly low risk for HIV. Your negative HIV test is conclusive and proves you didn't catch HIV. From what you say, cannot judge HSV; ask new question with details (positive for HSV1 or 2? numerical result?). If truly positive for HSV, it's not from the eye exposure, and herpes from such exposure cannot cause symptoms like yours.

See below: You did not get HIV from the exposure 10 months ago. Your positive HSV IgG may have antedated the exposure. Most adults have had HSV infection, mostly HSV 1 or oral herpes. Have a healthy diet, exercise 30 minutes/day, drink plenty of water daily so your urine is mostly colorless, have safe sex, no tobacco alcohol weed or street drugs.
