Why should i see a therapist for depression if they are judgmental and do not care?

Find a good fit.: A good and experienced therapist is trained not to be judgmental critical. This therapist would be empathetic not sympathetic. They are trained to listen and depending on the type of therapy, i.e. Cbt, help you recognize your erroneous thinking and how to deal with this. It may take awhile to develop rapport together but if you are a good fit, it will be very rewarding. Your pcp may be able to help.

They?: I wouldn't feel comfortable sharing if I thought that the other person didn't care. However, one of a therapist's jobs is to challenge you at times. That is part of what cognitive behavioral therapy is about. You used the term "they". Does that mean that you are assuming that therapists in general don't care. Or does this mean that multiple therapists you seen gave the impression that they judge
