A member asked:

My daughter is 13 and hasn't had her period for 3 months. is this something i should have checked out? or is it normal for her age?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Unusual: Cycles in the first year after menarche can be irregular. Many do not ovulate, which is part of normal cycle activity. A delay of 90 days or more is beyond the norm (2-6 wks common) and worthy of an evaluation.
