A member asked:

What can be taken for extreme vertigo? i have taken meclizine, but it does not do much.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Depends on the cause: In general vertigo symptoms are best treated with Valium or medications like valium. If you have vertigo because of ménière's syndrome then additionally treatment needs to include diet modification and possibly diuretics. If you have vertigo because of viral labyrinthitis then steroids can be very helpful. If you have not yet seen an ENT doctor then please see one as soon as possible.
