Wheezing: There is a knowledge that given the airways, wheezing occurs when the airway is between 15-85% of its normal size. It may be an exaggeration but think of it this way. At 85%, a person will not notice that change and can breath ok. At 15 %, the airway is too small that the person will be laboring. And then there are gradations in between.

Possibilities: It may be good that there is no sensation, but it is not a reason to ignore the symptom. Have an exam to be sure of other sources of wheezing than mild asthma. If there is nothing found, you can relax more fully. If there is a finding, you can receive early treatment. Win-win. Have an exam. Also if you've used corticosteroids, it's been more than mild at some time. Best!

When?: Does the wheezing occur when you breathe in or breath out? Wheezing when breathing in points to obstruction at area above the lungs but wheezing when breathing out points to obstruction in the lung. Either way, you need to consult a doctor to find out the cause which may or may not be from asthma.
