Tailbone Pain: Falling and landing on one's tailbone or sacrum can cause bruising or even a fracture of the bones in that area. Unfortunately, if the coccyx is fractured, there is not much you can do about it. If your pain and symptoms persist an x-ray can help rule out more serious injuries.
