Coccydynia is rare: The tail bone is an inch or so above the surface of your seat. The seat bones (ischial tuberosities) suspend it. You can wiggle it and see it that is the source of the pain. If so, see an orthopedist. If not, check the area with your GYN. Coccydynia is associated with painful intercourse and defecation as well as psychologic problems.
