History is best: The most important test is your history. Oftentimes drs. Can understand the problem and design a therapy by asking the right questions. Factors such as pregnancy?, wt. Gain or loss, thyroid issues, polyps, infections, headaches, nipple discharge, pap smear abnormalities, can be associated with abnormal bleeding and can be evaluated with questions and simple tests - pap, sono, blood tests, exam.
