Advil (ibuprofen): Perhaps you misinterpreted the instructions. Advil (ibuprofen) would be for pain or cramping. It is never used to 'stop bleeding'. Large and prolonged doses of drugs such as advil (ibuprofen) can lead to ulcers and GI bleeding, but not usually in low or temporary dosing.
