See answer: Testicular microlithiasis occurs in ~2-5% of healthy young men and is usually an incidental finding on testis ultrasound and almost always asymptomatic. Interest in testicular microlithiasis has increased over past few years, owing to an observed but uncommon association with testicular germ cell tumor. Regular testis self-exam for any mass and/or periodic ultrasound is all that is recommended.
