Yes!: I can't think of any reason why Folic Acid would effect fibroids in a negative way. It is an essential vitamin, and it helps with healing and cellular repair.

Yes, however...: Folic acid is a B vitamin used in the treatment of iron deficiency anemia (lack of red blood cells). A common cause of iron deficiency anemia is fibroids due to the heavy menstrual bleeding. The amount of blood loss causes the patient to be low in iron and hemoglobin resulting in fatigue. If you have fibroids and are anemic consider getting your fibroids treated. Seek out a fibroid specialist.
