Not really: Some have tried hormones but usually you leave them alone unless having severe pain or bleeding, then you need surgery.

Surgery if Symptoms: No medication permanently shrinks fibroid tumors. If you have symptoms options exist to help improve them: myomectomy (cutting out fibroids, repairing uterus) for women who desire future pregnancy hysterectomy (fibroid uterus removal), preferably laparoscopic or vaginal routes, best choice if family complete uterine artery embolization - injection of foam to block uterus blood supply.

Not OTC: Unfortunately no. There are no over the counter remedies to shrink fibroids. Removal still requires surgery and the only way to shrink them (temporarily) are with gnrh agonists (lupron injections, synarel nasal spray) or with embolization therapy (blocking blood vessels to fibroids with beads, done via catheters by radiologist). Menopause will also cause them to shrink but you have quite a wait.
