Maybe: If you stop the synthroid (thyroxine) you must check the levels within a month or sooner if symptom of low thyroid appear ( tiredness, fatigue, cold intolerance, weigth gain ).

Thyroid: If you were diagnosed properly to start with, you need to find another doctor locally to continue the rx since your hypothyroidism is persistent and not dependent on your physician moving or not.
