A member asked:

I have 5 front teeth missing due to being assaulted and really can't stand wearing dentures are there any other options available on the nhs ?

Implants: I'm not sure about the nhs, but the only permanent solution i can think of is getting implants to replace the missing teeth. Good luck!

Not sure about nhs: Best option for lifelong function, health , appearance and bone preservation is implant bridge. See the Prosthodontist for evaluation and options. Perhaps you are a candidate as a teaching case at one of the Dental residency or hospital programs. Best of luck.

Yes, in UK implants: No in USA/ Dental implants in UK or Scotland are available on the NHS for people who can demonstrate a clear medical need. This usually applies to people who have had their teeth or face damaged by an accident or through oral cancer.
