Avoidance/Moisturize: Avoidance of triggers is important. Wear gloves when washing dishes, limit frequent hand washing with harsh soaps, frequently moisturize with fragrant-free lotions (I like Vanicream, Cetaphil, or Eucerin). In addition can apply Aquaphor or Vaseline to hands at night and cover with cotton gloves to help seal in moisture. If severe, prescription topical corticosteroid ointment applied is effective.
