A member asked:

Can you tell me how to stp worrying about diabetes and blindness?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

See your doctor: If you have diabetes, one of the complications is retinopathy, which can lead to blindness. However, if you see your ophthalmologist yearly, (s)he can detect the early signs and treat/prevent it. Blindness from diabetic retinopathy is almost completely preventable from good blood sugar control and regular eye checkups and treatment of the disease early. So take care of yourself, and don't worry.
