Is it possible to go blind over night when you have diabetes? i am type 1?

Loss of sight : When someone has complete loss of sight in 1 or both eyes, all of sudden, it is extremely important to seek emergency help at an emergency department that could respond to possible issues that are reversible if they are tended to early enough. Diabetes does affect the small blood vessels of the retina in the eye and makes you at higher risk for other problems. For this reason you should seek care

Not quite that way: Diabetes does affect the eyes, but there appears to be a gradually progressive retinopathy. Any sudden blindness would be due to a clot involving a portion or total circulation to one eye (retinal arteries), sparing the other eye at that time. Overnight bilateral blindness would be rather unusual. Key concept, control blood sugars and follow doctors' advice
