Maybe,if not resting: Shin splints is an overuse injury that occurs when a person(often an athlete)increases their level of physical activity or training too quickly over a short period of time.Rest and icing will effectively treat most cases of shin splints.If you don't decrease your activity level at least, you could worsen it to the point where they hurt all of the time.If not improving with rest and ice, see your doc.
