Possibly: Jaw popping means damaged disc sliding in and out of position. Malocclusion implicated in most jaw joint discrepancies. Resolve the malocclusion and you will probably see a reduction in joint symptoms. See a qualified orthodontic specialist for examination.

Braces and TMJ: In my opinion, it really will depend on the training and skill of your orthodontist. It would be in your best interest to see an orthodontist who knows orthodontics and conservative TMJ treatment. Your TMJ disorder should be fixed before having braces or you will risk having your teeth and bite finished with the articular disk off and double-bite.

Depends: Depends on whether or not the bite problem is related to the popping. Joint popping is the TMJ disk out of position. Joint popping can occur in perfect bites. The majority of patients with bite problems do not have popping joints.
