A member asked:

What could left ventricular obstruction mean on an ekg?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

HOCM: Hypertrophic obstructive cardiomyopathy could produce some characteristic ekg changes in some people but not in all. If we see similar ekg changes then we need to rule out hocm through echo. It means there is obstruction to the outflow of the left ventricle due to muscle hypertrophy. If you really have it, it is dangerous. Need to get full physical and work-up. Consult your physician.
