A member asked:

Which are things that can go wrong during a bunionectomy?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Bunionectomy: There are many bunionectomy procedures and each can have their potential complications. Generally, these are rare and compliance with post-op instructions is very important. Possible complications: infection, slow healing of bone or soft tissue, failure of the fixation (screws, pins, plates, etc), over-correction, under-correction of the deformity, anesthesia issues (any surgery).
