Proceed carefully: The majority of the patients i see with newly diagnosed aneurysms are managed conservatively, or without an interventional procedure. There are several pieces of information to consider before deciding on whether embolization, including the pipeline, is appropriate. Please look over the brain aneurysm center for women at www.Chicagoaneurysm.Com for more info. We usually watch 3mm aneurysms.
