May help pain , but: A steroid injection in your knee may help your knee temporarily but will not resolve your meniscus tear. In fact, some injections can "mask" the pain you are having from your tear and it's possible to tear it worse! see an ors for exam, and possibly MRI and or arthroscopy and get it 'fixed'! good luck!

No: A steroid injection is temp pain relief and most meniscal tear will not heal. The side effects of steroids are softening of articular cartilage, delay healing of peripheral tears and increase in glucose in those diabetics. It may provide temporary relief but if one injection does no solve the problem then you need to see an orthopaedic surgeon for an exam.
