Had lipoma removed from front rib. now a hard lump is in it's place. i am now 5 days post surgery and still there. normal part of healing?

Likely yes: Your body will fill in the space the lipoma used to be with scar. Over time. As the scar strengthens, there body resorbs some of the scar tissue. This takes several months. The scar will continuously remodel for life, so it will soften over time.

Common Post-op: A hard lump is common after surgery, it is referred to as the 'healing ridge'. Sometimes a hematoma or seroma fluid collection can occur. Only an exam could tell. See your surgeon if still concerned.
