See a dermatologist: First see a skin dr to determine if you truly need a biopsy or something else. Biopsies of skin lesions on the back are usually quick ; painless. Local Lidocaine anesthetic is very effective. No sedation is needed. Depending on how it is done, a microscopic diagnosis is made in an hour or 2 days later. Depending on what you have ; how it is done, you may, or may not have stitches. You will not nee.
