Bacterial vaginosis?: Difference in what? You do not indicate what symptoms are occurring or what else you may be doing to help eliminate them. This anaerobic bacillus converts glycogen in the vagina to lactic acid, which changes the ph (acidity) to help control growth of unwanted bacteria, but you may need other antibiotics to eliminate the cause first, and Metronidazole may be killing the doderlein's bacillus.
