Staph aureus (i.e. coagulase positive staph) is unusual in the vagina. The need for treatment isn't clear if there are no symptoms, but if you have vaginal discharge and/or genital area discomfort, swelling, itching, etc, it probably should be treated -- and some doctors would treat it even without symptoms. Discuss antibiotic options with your doctor.
