Low risk: Between the full series of rabies shots and very weak ("second-hand") exposure, this risk is very low.

Rabies: The vaccine is quite effective. Do not know what the doctor who treated you gave you, but prompt wound care and the administration of rabies Immune Globulin plus vaccine are highly effective in preventing human rabies following exposure. You need more information, and you need to know if the monkey that bit you was followed for the development of rabies. Good luck. Sounds as if you'll be ok.

Low risk: Once you complete that primary rabies series you are considered well protected from any re- exposure within the next two years. Those working in high risk professions are encouraged to get a booster rabies inoculation or have their blood tested for antibody level to see if one is needed.
