Sounds right: Doctors have clear indications for why or when the series of rabies shots are given. These are generated by local rabies monitoring & CDC guidelines. It is not something you get by being in the presence of a bat. If anything docs usually over treat this issue if there is any good indication. It appears your case was evaluated and no need found.
