Yes it could: You cannot wait until thursday t be evaluated. If this is appendicitis, which it certainly could be, you could rupture your appendix between now and then. Call your doctor's office back and insist on being seen by someone today, and if they cannot accommodate you, this is an occasion to use the emergency room.
