Portal hypertension: This is most commonly due to cirrhosis of the liver and must be dealt with by a hepatologist, gastroenterologist or general surgeon familiar with the area of practice. Knowing the etiology of this would also be helpful. The esohagitis at the gej may be due to reflux.
