College courses: I my opinion study what you like in college regarding specific courses. Dental schools want to see high dat scores, great grades and a challenging course curriculum. If you like those courses by all means take them as they may give you a better idea if you are pursuing the right field of study. However, it is not essential. I loved psychology in college and took more electives in that field.

Very essential: We will see patient with compounded problem of both medical and dental. The more basics or foundation we learn, the better care provider we will become. Expand your mind, it will not go back to the original dimension!
