Call physician: Who did the endoscopy to be safe. If pain is not going way, getting worse, or you start noticing other symptoms, stay safe and go to er. Endoscopy, as long as it is not along with something to help with a stricture, should not be painful hours later. If it was painful at time, may have caused some inflammation, but check to be safe.

Call your G.I. doc: An upper endoscopy should not be painful, and there should not be any lasting pain afterwards either. If you are having pain, call the doctor or go to the emergency room to find out why that is happening. Do not delay. Good luck.
