Can you tell me about alcohol intake in nonsmokers?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Don't understand ?: There is no difference in the amounts of alcohol that are considered unsafe whether you smoke or not. More than 2 standard drinks/day in men and more than 1/day in women put you at risk of health consequences, and in women, drinking more than 4 drinks on any one occasion is a marker for alcohol abuse/dependency. Smoking together with alcohol increases health risks, especially of various cancers.
