In Moderation: Cimetidine inhibits gastric alcohol dehydrogenase, interfering with alcohol breakdown. Blood alcohol levels could potentially increase substantially. People taking Cimetidine should avoid drinking alcohol in significant amounts within two hours of taking their medication.
